Good visibility at all times
In comparison to normal glass, the surface behaviour of glass with self-cleaning properties is changed in such a way that dirt finds it difficult to stick to the surface. As much as possible is washed away by the flow of water when it's raining. This prohibits contamination and simplifies cleaning.
Glass with self-cleaning properties is frequently described by referring to the so-called lotus effect. The coating process makes use of nanotechnology.
